During Brian's very first year hunting by himself, he swears to have seen the infamous monster buck, which had a non-typical rack, out of Ghost Hill metal stand. In a flash, the buck came up the back of Ghost Hill directly behind the stand. He says, "the buck was so close, I could see his nostrils flaring as he snorted at me." The buck smelled and spotted Brian, and took off back down Ghost Hill. Brian fired three shots from the hip as a consolation prize, but drew no blood. Perhaps this monster buck still lurks the property. Once things for sure, he still haunts Brian's dreams.
